A: Each tour lasts for about 8 hours. They depart at 8:30AM and return approx 4:30PM.
Q: Do we stop & walk around?
A: Yes, as much as possible, certainly at Old Faithful and the Geyser basins or Canyon. We also stop for photo opportunities wherever and whenever it is safe to do so.
Q: Are the snowmobiles heated:
A: Yes, our TZ1 snowmobiles feature heated seats and handlebar warmers. Several other models do as well.
Q: Are there any age restrictions to ride?
A: To Drive – Yes. As a passenger, no.
1) Yellowstone National Park: To legally operate a snowmobile in Yellowstone, you must have a valid Drivers License (learner permits are not allowed) per Park regulations.
2) Outside the Park. You must be at least 14 years old to drive – and obey all traffic laws. A Snowmobile Operators permit is required.
Q: What about food?
A: There is food service at Old Faithful. There is NOT at the Grand Canyon – let us order your lunch for you.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Helmets must be worn. We have snowmobile suits, boots, gloves, facemasks and helmets available for rental. Underneath we recommend you wear jeans or sweatpants, a long sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt. Ski clothing is not recommended for snowmobile riding because on a snowmobile your body is not constantly moving as it is when skiing.
